Description of the Training

A site facilities operative with a vocational qualification in Cleaning and Property Services implements maintenance and basic cleaning tasks. They are able to implement cleaning services tasks at different customer sites and customer service situations according to the service agreement applying to the customer site.

The training lasts approximately 2 years or proceeds according to a personal plan. The aim of the training is to complete the Vocational Qualification in Cleaning Services in its entirety. The training is full-time.

The training includes contact teaching, distance learning and on-the-job learning. Contact teaching is 5 days per week between 8:00 and 16:00. At other times, you carry out distance learning as well as on-the-job learning in accordance with regular working hours.

The scope of the qualification is 180 competence points (cp).

Vocational education and training is free of charge.

Admission criteria

The education is targeted at Finns, citizens of the EU and applicants possessing a residence permit in the EU/Schengen countries. If you have a residence permit in the EU, please attach it to the application. We are primarily selecting students who do not yet have a place of study in Finland. We only process applications that meet the requirements for residence permit/citizenship.

  • Suitability for the field: Good health and flexibility regarding working times are necessary for working in this field. Most positions require field-specific training
  • Motivation
  • Need for education: Only those who are not enrolled at any school are eligible applicants.
  • Prerequisites for studying: Appropriate study skills and commitment to studies and degree completion. Immigrant applicants must have a right to work on this field.

Every student will receive a personal competence development plan (HOKS). Among other things, it is used to agree on the recognition of prior education, personal choices, the acquisition of missing competence and the methods thereof. For more information on personalisation, see here.

Applying

Apply for the training program by filling in the online application form carefully and by attending the mandatory admissions info, language exam and interview.

Only applicants who take part in the mandatory admissions info and language exam will be invited to interviews. The admissions info and language exam are held on 23.4.2026 at the school.

Admissions interviews are held after the admission info. Invitations to admission info, interviews and language tests are sent by email. In addition to your email inbox, frequently check your spam folder.

Students are selected from applicants who meet the admission criteria. All applicants will be notified of admissions.
