TUVA

TUVA, or preparatory education for degree programmes

The aim of TUVA training is to achieve the skills required for you to apply for further education or working life.

The training is suitable for you if

• you are a young person who does not yet know your further path after comprehensive school, want to improve your comprehensive school grades or strengthen your study skills (e.g. Finnish).
• you are an adult immigrant who needs to strengthen your Finnish language and other study skills as well as guidance for vocational education and training or working life. 

You may be admitted to TUVA training if

• you have completed the syllabus in basic education or the corresponding information.
• you have not completed a qualification or preparatory training after basic education.
• you have good motivation.
• you need training.
• you have the prerequisites for studying: sufficient study skills, sufficient Finnish language skills and you are committed to studying.
• you can participate in the interview.

The training is not intended for those in need of demanding special support.

For a particularly justified reason, we can also accept an applicant who has previously completed preparatory education.

As an education provider, we assess the appropriateness and timeliness of the training for the applicant.
