Further and specialist vocational qualifications

Further and specialist vocational qualifications

Further and specialist vocational qualification studies provide you with specialist skills required in working life. This option allows you to learn primarily at a workplace. These qualifications are primarily for persons currently or previously employed in the industry as the qualification provides more in-depth expertise than the vocational qualification.

Further and specialist vocational qualifications also qualify you to apply for an UAS or university.

Further vocational qualification

You can apply for further vocational qualification studies provided that you possess the relevant professional competence acquired through work experience or training. This is not a precondition for all qualifications. The content of a further vocational qualification is more in-depth and specific than a vocational qualification. It enables you to progress in your career to professional.

The scope of the qualification is 120 or 150 competence points. On average, completing the qualification takes approximately 18 months.

The qualification qualifies you to apply for an UAS or university. You can also increase your competence through specialist vocational qualification studies.

Specialist vocational qualification

You can apply for specialist vocational qualification training provided that you are already trained in the field and/or possess solid work experience in the field following a qualification. The content of the specialist vocational qualification is more in-depth and diversified than a vocational qualification. Completing a specialist vocational qualification qualifies you to perform the most challenging tasks in the field, such as supervisory tasks.

The scope of the qualification is 160, 180 or 210 competence points. On average, completing the qualification takes approximately 18 months.

The qualification also qualifies you to apply for an UAS or university.
