Alcohol passport, a test to prove your knowledge of the Alcohol Act
On This Page
Description of the test
The test questions are based on the guideline for serving alcoholic beverages published by National Supervisory Authority for Health and Welfare (Valvira). Participants must study independently for the test.
The test is considered approved if your score at least 80% of the maximum points. You are allowed to use a dictionary in the test, but the invigilator of the test must verify the dictionary before the test. You may not use any other materials in the test. The test can be taken in Finnish, Swedish or English. Note: The identity of a person arriving for the test will be verified. A driving licence is a valid ID.
The alcohol passport is made for those who successfully completed the test within 2 weeks from the completion of the test. TAI has switched over to digital certificates and alcohol passports. Once the digital alcohol passport is ready, you will receive a personal link from the Atomi service via email. You can download your passport to your own device through the link. The link is valid for 30 days.
You will not receive a separate notification for the results of the test. You can read more about digital certificates form this page: TAIn sähköinen opintotoimisto. If needed, please contact lemminkainen@edu.turku.fi.
The price of the test is EUR 60 (incl. VAT 25.5%) payable before the test at Cafe Wisio, Lemminkäisenkatu 14–18, A wing. You must show the receipt to the invigilator. Note: The test is free for TAI students.
Turun ammatti-instituutti,
Lemminkäisenkadun koulutalo,
Lemminkäisenkatu 18 D, Turku
For Whom
People working or aiming to work in the restaurant industry, entrepreneurs or would-be entrepreneurs. You do not have to be a TAI student to take part in the test – i.e. the test is open to everyone!
Registration
The registration is binding. Note! We will charge the full price for an uncancelled registration. Cancellations must take place at least 7 days prior to the test. We will charge 50% of the test price for later cancellations.
There must be a minimum of 12 participants in order for the test to go through. We reserve the right to make changes. For example immigrants and/or people requiring an interpreter can take the test privately. The time must be separately arranged with the trainer. The price of the private test is EUR 230 (incl. VAT 25.5%). The customer is responsible for acquiring an interpreter (Interpreter Centre) and covering the related costs.
A separate invitation and instructions for the event will be sent roughly a week before the test date. You must bring an official picture ID (e.g. a passport or driving licence) and a blue pen to the test.
Note: You do not need a Wilma login and password to register for the test.
Enter your first name, all of your middle names and your personal identity code in the registration form. If you do not have a Finnish personal identity code, enter 120456-XXXX.
Please note, that the registration form is currently only in Finnish. You can still take the test in English.
